Air Conditioner Repair

In Georgia our summers can be extremely hot and humid, and you may need air conditioning repair. Making sure your air conditioner is performing at it’s best can be crucial to keeping your energy costs low. Regular maintenance and tune-ups can help reduce your utility bills and extend the life of your heating and air conditioning system.

When your system is ready to be replaced let Duncan help you determine which system best suits your needs. There are many factors that determine which size and SEER is best for you and your family.

A larger unit is not necessarily better. An over sized unit will be costly to operate and won't run long enough to dehumidify the air, resulting in a "clammy" feeling. A unit that is too big can also reduce air quality and aggravate allergies.

A smaller unit is not always cheaper.
A system that is too small will run constantly without keeping your home the same temperature. Duncan can help you determine the best sized system for your home and make sure you are spending as little as possible to heat and cool your home.

At Duncan Heating and Air Services we make every effort to ensure your system is operating at its most efficient level. In these tough economic times everything is expensive enough without throwing money away on a poorly maintained cooling system.

We will NEVER tell you that you need a new system or parts when it is not necessary. We want to be the trusted name that your family depends on when it comes to heating and air.

What is the SEER rating?

SEER which is the acronym for seasonal energy efficiency rating, is a measurement used to describe the efficient use of energy by air conditioners. The measurement is defined and regulated by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute. It is measured in BTU'S (British thermal units) per watt-hour of electric energy used in a given cooling season (during the summer months). Older units' SEER rating is usually around 10 and the new standard units are all 13 SEER or higher. This means they perform at a higher efficiency level. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the system is.
